Tottenham have identified Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar as an option as they look for a new centre-back for Antonio Conte’s squad.

That’s according to Rudy Galetti, who says Skriniar is one of the names ‘at the top of the list’ of options being looked at.

He explains that as it stands, the defender is not set to renew his deal at Inter Milan, which is set to expire at the end of this season.

Thus Inter Milan need to find a sale before the end of the transfer window if they are to get anything for him and avoid losing him on a free in the summer.

He had been linked with a move to PSG, but it seems Tottenham could be another option for the 27-year-old.

Foot Mercato also have their own information on the matter, explaining that Skriniar is keeping his future under wraps for the time being.

PSG believe they have made the necessary arrangements to secure his signature with a good contract offer, but nothing is decided yet.

According to their information an English club has just entered the scene and are trying to get him for a ‘bargain price’ given his contract is expiring in the summer.

They do not specifically name Tottenham as that club, in fact they just say ‘an English club’ but Galetti believes it is them. It would certainly make sense given the player was a key man under Antonio Conte during his time at Inter Milan.

For the moment it is only Galetti reporting that they are interested but in France they certainly believe there is an English club ready to intervene.

If that is Tottenham it will be discovered sooner rather than later but what is clear is that Skriniar won’t renew with Inter and so could be a major player in the window in the coming days.
