Loaned from Zenit Saint-Petersburg to Bordeaux for the next six months, Vukasin Jovanovic has big dreams, and those involve playing in the Premier League one day.

The 20-year-old, who transferred to the Russian side a year ago from Red Star in Serbia, never quite managed to convince Mircea Lucescu this season, and was shipped out abroad to get some experience, with the arrival of Branislav Ivanovic from Chelsea likely to block his path even more.

Ahead of his move to France, Sports Daily in Russia interviewed Jovanovic, and enquired as to where he saw himself in the future.

He said: “I would like to play in England, against the biggest teams on the planet. I want to play in the Champions. What club? Chelsea.”

Before having any chance of a Chelsea move, the player has a long way to go, and Jovanovic sees the arrival of former Blues defender and Serbia star Branislav Ivanovic at Zenit as a great thing.

He said: “With him, you can gain invaluable experience, because Ivanovic is also a great person who always strives to help young players.”

Should Jovanovic continue his progression then he’s got plenty of time to catch Antonio Conte’s eye and secure that dream move to Chelsea one day.
