Wolverhampton Wanderers have Sevilla goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, also known as Bono, on their transfer agenda.
The English club have been linked to a few players from La Liga since they appointed Julen Lopetegui as their new manager last month as he arrived at Wolves after spending over three seasons at the Andalusian club.
In his first transfer window at Sevilla, Lopetegui signed Bono from Girona in 2019. The pair could reunite in England, if the Premier League side sign him in the winter market.
Bono played a key role in helping Morocco overcome Spain in the World Cup round of 16 tie on Tuesday.
When discussing the custodian’s suitors, Wolves are mentioned. The report states it’s ‘hardly known’ that Lopetegui’s side only offered €5m to sign him, but it’s unlikely this would be accepted by Sevilla.
José Sá has been the first-choice goalkeeper since the start of the 2021/22 season. This term, he has kept four clean sheets and conceded 24 goals from 15 matches, but Bono’s signing could push Sá out of Wolves’ starting lineup.
