Tottenham star Heung-min Son would be an ‘ideal’ signing for Real Madrid next summer as his qualities are a ‘perfect fit’ for the Spanish side’s style of play.

That’s according to Marca, who provide a deep analysis of the Tottenham man today and why a move to the Bernabeu would make sense.

Real Madrid have been linked with a move for Son for the last two years, having established himself as a global star over the last few years.

That rumour came back around this week when it was suggested that current Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is a big fan and Son is considering a move because he wants to win trophies away from Tottenham.

A move to Real Madrid would certainly help that and Marca say there are several points which would make him an ‘ideal signing’ for the Spanish giants.

The first of those is his ‘creative expressive’ nature, with one of the player’s ‘great virtues’ being his ability to improvise with the ball at his feet. This is something that makes him an extremely dangerous player.

There is also his coordination, which while not at the level of the likes of Neymar, Vinicius Junior of Ousmane Dembele is considerably high. He is a player who possesses great skill with the ball at his feet, not only when dribbling but also his shooting.

Finally, there is his cognitive ability, which is also high and helps the player to ‘understand different situations’ that arise during games and help him to adapt.

Furthermore, he is a player that ‘looks for vertical progression’ in attacks and is a key player when it comes to launching transitions from defence to attack, something which couples well with his ability to ‘assist his teammates’.

That’s been demonstrated with his relationship with Harry Kane over the year and would make him a big hit at Real Madrid too.

In conclusion, the Tottenham star is seen as a ‘very complete player’, capable of playing in any of the forward positions and ‘bringing a high individual and collective level to his team.’

It is because of this that it is not surprising to see world-class clubs like Real Madrid being linked, with them and many others likely to be looking to sign him next season.
