Brighton and Hove Albion may want to move quickly to sign Facundo Buonanotte from Rosario Central, with Inter Milan now in the picture.

The Seagulls have been linked to the youngster for the past few months, with a deal very close to completion at one point in the summer.

It never happened but they’ve continued to show an interest and reports in recent weeks have made it clear they’re pushing for a deal.

Indeed, just two days ago, a report from La Capital made it clear that it was only a question of time before the youngster ended up at Brighton and it was hard to think the deal wouldn’t go through.

However, it seems they could now face competition from Inter Milan, with Corriere dello Sport stating that they have the player on their shortlist.

They explain today that the Italian side have wrapped a deal for youngster Alan Matturro, a left footed Uruguayan defender owned by Defensor Sporting.

He’d been scouted by someone at Inter (only his surname, Baccin, is given) during a recent mission to South America and the club are now proceeding with the deal.

It was during this scouting mission that Baccin also noted other talents and Facundo Buonanotte is one of those to have made it to his ‘notebook’.

That could mean bad news for Brighton, who after having a clear run at the player for months, might now face big competition for him.
