There are many reasons why the Dutch media made a big coverage of Manchester United’s match against Arsenal this week.
One of them are the former Eredivisie players who have been signed by the Red Devils in the summer.
Tyrell Malacia is one of those, as the fullback left Feyenoord to move to Old Trafford on a €15m deal, and despite having just arrived, there was no big need for adaptation, as he started in their last four games, including the clash against Arsenal, with Erik ten Hag’s side winning all of them.
So as De Telegraaf’s podcast Kickoff commented on the match between Manchester United and Arsenal, journalist Marcel van der Kraan had a few words about the Dutch player.
“They call him a bargain, although I have to say that it was really hard for him for the first time. He may have faced one of the most sensational wingers in the Premier League. That Saka is incredibly fast. Malacia had to work hard, but in the end he fought back in the game,” said Van der Kraan (via Soccer News).
Despite struggling a little at the start of the time against Arsenal’s Saka, Malacia indeed finished the match with a positive performance for Manchester United.
His stats included two clearances, two interceptions and one successful tackle, besides getting 84% of pass accuracy.
