As Giovani Lo Celso’s loan spell at Villarreal is now coming to an end, it seems the midfielder will still have a couple of chances of staying in Spain for longer.
Fichajes today writes that as the player returns to Tottenham Hotspur this summer, he should still see if he’d have a chance with Antonio Conte’s side. And in case he doesn’t, he isn’t short of possibilities of going back to La Liga.
Villarreal are, of course, the main contenders to land him again. Following his positive loan spell, they shall try to work on a deal with Spurs to sign him on a permanent move.
Then Fichajes takes claims from Radio Sevilla which say Real Betis are another club who have set their sights on Lo Celso and could go for his signing as well.
The report claims this would be a ‘complicated’ operation for both Spanish clubs, as the two of them would struggle to agree a fee with Tottenham for his sale.
Still, if Spurs don’t count on Lo Celso and look to make some cash with him this summer, then there should be some interesting options on the table.
