With Juventus interested in taking Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio this summer, the Italian media often makes it a local story, partly because it’s previously been suggested the midfielder would welcome a move to the Old Lady.
However, in a piece today from Calcio Mercato, it’s pointed out that Manchester United are one of the clubs who could have an advantage over the Turin side in this race.
The report first points out the words from Maurizio Sarri, who in a press conference claimed that in case Milinkovic-Savic leaves Lazio this summer, he’s likelier to move abroad.
That’s where Manchester United and other clubs come in. It’s said the Red Devils, along with Paris Saint Germain and Real Madrid, could afford the transfer.
Manchester United ‘have shown no small interest’ in Milinkovic-Savic, and could ‘can satisfy economic claims’ made by Lazio, which are set at €80m.
