L’Equipe have a feature in their Friday newspaper on the possible January transfers of French internationals. The French newspaper believe it to be a rare winter window, because there’s not often so much doubt hanging over the heads of current internationals.
The former Southampton midfielder hasn’t enjoyed any kind of prominence under Jose Mourinho, and is wanted by several clubs, including in the Premier League.
The other Manchester United player is Anthony Martial, and it’s fair to say the French newspaper see his situation very differently indeed.
Martial is given only a 10% chance of leaving Old Trafford during the current window.
Mourinho doesn’t want to see the young Frenchman leave, on any kind of deal. The footballer himself is said to be unsatisfied with his playing time and doesn’t believe he’s getting the prominence he was promised when he signed for Manchester United.
