Crysencio Summerville has not managed to enjoy regular game time at Leeds United this season and has been restricted to only one start in all competitions.

Hamburger SV have come forward to take him on a loan deal in January and the winger and it’s been repeatedly reported the player is interested in making a switch to Germany. However, they have not managed to find an agreement with the Whites.

On Saturday, Hamburger Morgenpost stated the HSV bosses ‘want a decision’ from Leeds before the end of this weekend. This was so they’d have sufficient time to look for alternatives before the window closes on Monday.

According to 24Hamburg, the negotiations for the Netherlands U21 international’s signing are ‘taking an unexpectedly long time’ and HSV now have less than 48 hours left to either bring in the 20-year-old or look for plan B.

It’s claimed Summerville’s move to HSV is ‘faltering’, particularly due to Marcelo Bielsa’s side. Therefore, Jonas Boldt, the German club’s sporting director, is focusing on another winger.

Claims made by Hamburger Morgenpost yesterday are again echoed by 24Hamburg, who say that HSV don’t want to ‘wait until the last second or Monday’ to wrap up a deal for Bielsa’s man.

If the operation to bring Summerville doesn’t take shape on Sunday, they will move on to other targets.
