Watford have been linked with a move for AC Milan attacker Keisuke Honda in the Italian media. The Japan international has struggled to get regular games for the Serie A giants this season, and could move in this transfer window.

TMW have revealed Watford manager Walter Mazzarri has told the owners of the Premier League that he’s keen to bring in Honda this month as the Italian looks to bolster his attacking options. Watford have struggled in the final third this campaign and Mazzarri will be hoping Honda could bring some creativity.

However, it’s been claimed Watford chief Gino Pozzo isn’t a fan of the Japanese player which could make discussions with AC Milan complicated. With Pozzo’s connections and knowledge of Italian football the Watford owner isn’t sure about the player even though he’s been requested by Mazzarri.

Honda signed for AC Milan in 2014, but he’s rarely figured in the starting eleven this campaign, featuring in just five league games. The 30-year-old was linked with a move to the Premier League in the last winter transfer window, but most of the links have seemed wishful thinking for the footballer.
