Manchester City loanee Pedro Porro has concluded his permanent transfer out of the club, according to reports from Spain.

El Chiringuito journalist Dario Montero claims that the fullback signed a contract with Sporting, now committing himself to the Lisbon side until 2025.

Following a loan deal from Manchester City in the summer of 2020, the Lions actually have until June 2022 to trigger their €8.5m buying option over Porro.

The Portuguese media had been claiming that the personal agreement with the player had already been reached, and the Lisbon side would now wait until the last month to pay the fee.

Now with the news from Spain, it sounds like they’ve anticipated the permanent move, although we better wait and see what is said in Portugal about it.

Pedro Porro has impressed at Sporting since the moment he started featuring for the Lions. It’s been a while since they decided to sign him on a permanent deal, despite their delay in paying the fee.

Recent reports have been claiming that the likes of Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid are both interested in him, especially after his debut for the Spanish national team.

However, to get him from the Portuguese club now, they will, of course, have to pay a lot more than €8.5m.
