Tottenham Hotspur have surprsingly lined up to sign Fenerbahçe’s Kim Min-jae, according to Takvim.
The defender has been a regular in Vítor Pereira’s starting lineup and his fine displays, especially in the derby win over Galatasaray, have resulted in European clubs wanting to sign him, including Spurs.
Earlier claims stated the centre-back has a €9m release clause in his current deal, but that has now been dismissed.
The Süper Lig side are ‘considering selling’ the South Korea international if they receive an offer of about €20m. His agent has informed Fenerbahçe’s management about the offers received so far.
Over at Fotospor, they say Antonio Conte’s side have knocked on the Turkish club’s door for the 25-year-old.
According to the report, Tottenham are ‘preparing to make an offer’ to sign Min-jae. Fener plan to retain the player at least until the end of this season and therefore, have made ‘very difficult demands’.
It’s explained Fenerbahçe want Spurs to pay €25m for Min-jae and also receive 25 percent of the fee from a future sale. Whether or not Conte’s side will agree to these demands isn’t made clear.
