Watford are pretty happy with Walter Mazzari. In eighth place on the table, the club are building an impressive campaign and the satisfaction with their manager couldn’t be any higher.
Club director Luke Dawling has spoken to Italy’s Calcio Mercato and revealed that the Hornets have plans to keep the Italian boss for a long time.
Dawling also spoke about transfers. As Calcio Mercato are mostly focused on the Italian market, they asked if it’s possible that Watford are signing any player from their country soon: “Having the Italian ownership helps us, we’ll see in January. We buy players from around the world, we have nothing closed.”
He was also asked if they’ve been offering any players to Serie A clubs as well, but couldn’t confirm it: “No, not for now”.
Speaking about Roberto Pereyra, who was signed from Juventus in the summer for €13m, the director also shows he’s very proud of the business they did to get the player from the Old Lady: “You saw that goal he scored the other day, against Leicester. We are very happy with him, he is getting used to a very physical league. It was a great buy for us, we are satisfied.”
