As you will be very aware of after the numerous articles written on the subject, Leeds United wanted Mickaël Cuisance to bolster their midfield.
The French midfielder was said to be a direct request from Marcelo Bielsa to improve his Elland Road squad for the Premier League season ahead, and it appeared that a deal with Bayern Munich could be struck.
In fact, the player even went as far as undergoing a medical ahead of the move, which ultimately collapsed.
Following that, Marseille sprang into action and got a deal over the line for the young playmaker with no problem, including an €18m option to buy.
He replied in a video relayed by RMC Sport: “Not from my end, anyways. Beyond that, I don’t know anything from the negotiations”.
Either way, the reason as to why the move collapsed is still unknown, but it appears to have been more of a financial issue than a physical one on the player’s end, since there were no issues found during Marseille’s tests.
