Adrien Silva is in his final year of contract at Leicester City, but his immediate future is likely to be away from King Power Stadium.
Sampdoria are interested in acquiring the midfielder’s services, who has already revealed his wish to leave the Foxes in the current transfer window.
On September 30th, TuttoMercatoWeb reported that Brendan Rodgers’ side had given their approval for the 30-year-old to join the Serie A side, but it was also explained there was ‘still no agreement’ between the player and Sampdoria over personal terms, and the two parties will ‘try to close’ the difference in the coming days.
TMW then adds it’s a ‘decisive day’ in the negotiations as there’s a summit today between Claudio Ranieri’s side and the entourage of the Portugal international.
During this ‘summit’, Sampdoria and Silva will ‘close the gap’ between what the player’s demanding and what the Italian side are ready to offer, to get the deal over the line.
Whether or not they will find an agreement today remains to be seen.
