At the start of this month, multiple reports coming out of Spain explained West Ham United are interested in Martin Braithwaite.
Mundo Deportivo even stated Barcelona had ‘advanced the negotiations’ with the Hammers for the striker.
The Danish player was an emergency signing for the La Liga side as he arrived at the Camp Nou from Leganés for €18m in February.
He was not part of the Catalan club’s squad for the Champions League because the 29-year-old wasn’t registered for the European competition.
The former Middlesbrough man last featured for Barca against Deportivo Alavés in July and that could be his last fixture for the Blaugrana.
The newspaper explains Ronald Koeman’s side have received loan offers from La Liga clubs, but Barca’s ‘objective is to place him in the Premier League’. The Spanish giants’ idea is to ‘recover the money they invested’ in his signing. 
West Ham get a mention as David Moyes’ side were ‘interested in signing’ Braithwaite. However, the negotiations, most likely between the two clubs, for the transfer are ‘somewhat stagnant’.
Despite the situation with the London club, Barca still hope to place Braithwaite in the Premier League and are confident of recovering €20m from his sale this summer.
