Former Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn believes the club can’t move on if Massimo Cellino continues to be in charge. Redfearn was one of a number of managers Cellino has hired since purchasing the club in 2014.
“Leeds is my club and I honestly believe that I could have made them great again. If somebody gets hold of that club, then wow – they could be big. But that person isn’t Massimo Cellino, I’m afraid,” said the former Leeds United boss.
Cellino has been a controversial figure since arriving in England over two years ago, and during that time he’s had his run-ins with the football authorities.
Leeds United currently stand 11th in the Championship, and will be hoping current manager Garry Monk can take them further up the table, with a shot at the play-offs still very much within grasp.
