Christian Eriksen, Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen are three Tottenham Hotspur players whose contracts expire at the end of the season.
It’s no surprise there’s been numerous reports linking the aforementioned players with a move away from Spurs.
On October 28th, we carried a report from Sky Italia, who explained Inter Milan ‘like’ Vertonghen and they have been following him this season. They have eyes on signing him on a free transfer after this campaign.
Luckily for the Nerazzurri, potential competition from Juventus for the Belgium international has been ruled out.
According to ilBiancoNero, the Turin club have closed the door for the 32-year-old’s potential signing because he is ‘not a priority’ for the Serie A winners.
Vertonghen’s current contract situation at north London club means he will be available relatively cheaply in the winter market or on a free transfer after this season.
However, the Old Lady have ruled out the possibility of signing the centre-back either in January or next summer. That’s because Juventus are ‘not interested’ in signing Vertonghen.
