The Argentine version of Marca brings this weekend an interesting piece on the future of the Manchester City defedender Nicolas Otamendi.

According to the outlet, the player is leaving the Premier League side this summer due to the lack of playing time he’s having under Pep Guardiola.

Otamendi reportedly wants more minutes in a club where he’s a regular starter, so he won’t lose his place in the Argentine national team.

Marca writes that the player ‘is not lacking offers’, since he has plenty of options. They name Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United, then say other European and Chinese clubs want the 31-year-old as well.

Marca’s headline actually mentions a possible move to River Plate, since Otamendi is said to be a fan of the Buenos Aires side.

However, besides being an unlikely transfer because of the costs it would have, the defender is more focused on continuing his career in Europe.

That would help Wolves and West Ham.
