Turkish website Futbol Arena claim Galatasaray were interested signing West Ham United forward Andy Carroll during the final week of the transfer window.

Earlier this week there was a claim in the Turkish media Gala are considering making another move for the West Ham player and could be set for talks.

During a meeting in the summer, Carroll reportedly told Galatasaray officials that he wasn’t just interested in money as he wants to prove himself again.

They reported back to their manager Fatih Terim and after a detailed look Cim Bom reportedly said no to Carroll because of his injury problems in recent seasons.

However, it seems the West Ham man is back on the Istanbul club’s radar as they look to bring in a No.9 in the new year. With Carroll now fit again, Galatasaray may change their stance over the player.

After selling Bafetimbi Gomis in the summer the Super Lig club are desperate to bring in a proven forward.
