The agent of Albert Adomah has told Sport Witness the winger has no plans to leave Aston Villa as he wants to extend his stay with the Championship side by signing a new deal.
Earlier reports suggested that Leeds United and Middlesbrough are believed to be on alert as rumours of the 30-year-old planning to leave his current employers started to emerge.
It’s been claimed the former Bristol City man was a target for both the above mentioned clubs in the summer following an impressive campaign last term, which saw him score 14 goals and register five assists in the league.
Aston Villa sacked Steve Bruce and replaced him with Dean Smith in October and the former was ready to part ways with the Ghana international in the summer.
Adomah’s representative Anthony Finnigan now wants to sit down with the English club’s current manager and see if they can reach an agreement over a new deal.
“I realise the speculation that comes during this [January] transfer window, but my aim is to discuss with the current manager at the right time about extending his contract and remain at the club,” Finnigan told Sport Witness.
