Mexican side Atlas are reportedly in negotiations to make a partnership with Manchester City.
According to local outlet Medio Tiempo, the club are holding meetings with European sides so they can make an interchange of players between them.
Handling the talks is the club president Rafa Marquez, well known by the Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola from their time at Barcelona.
That’s why the other club who are in talks with Atlas are exactly the Catalan side, where the former defender played from 2003 to 2010.
Medio Tiempo doesn’t make Atlas’ plans very clear, but apparently, they want to send youngsters to get experience in Europe, and also receive players from Barça and Manchester City in exchange.
With Manchester City having partner clubs in several countries, it wouldn’t exactly be a surprise for them to pick a club in a big league such as that in Mexico.
