Since Borna Barišić arrived for Bosnia national team duty, the Rangers player has been telling anyone who’ll listen how good Steven Gerrard is.

Barišić sounds like he’s fallen head over heels with his Rangers experience so far, enjoying the manager and also having a great experience in the Glasgow derby, despite seeing his side lose 1-0 to Celtic.

Given all the Gerrard praise, a Croatian journalist asked Barišić an impossible question: Who is the better manager, Steven Gerrard or Zoran Zekić?

It’s difficult because Zekić was the Rangers player’s manager at previous club NK Osijek, where Barišić was made captain.

The left back had come through the youth team there and was in his second spell with the club, and Zekić has been manager since 2015… he gave him the armband.

There could only be one answer, and 24Sata quote the Rangers player as saying: “One and the other are great, the question is just how much you absorb.”

Barišić once again explained how well his Rangers experience is going, and it’s making the news repeatedly in Croatia which could help Gerrard recruit further players from the country should he desire.
