Bein Sports Turkey have reported exclusively Bursaspor have agreed in ‘principle’ to sign Newcastle United midfielder Henri Saivet on loan.

Turkish newspaper Haberturk have covered Bein Sports Turkey’s claims and they say the player will join Bursaspor very soon.

It’s been well documented in the Turkish press this summer that Bursaspor are interested in signing Saivet, who spent the second half of last season with fellow Turkish club Sivasspor.

Bursaspor manager Samet Aybaba worked with Saivet at Sivasspor last season and it’s been reported he now wants to bring the 27-year old to Bursaspor after failing to land other targets.

There have been recent reports the Newcastle United player has agreed personal terms with the Super Lig club and will be paid €800k for the season. The Magpies are also willing to lease the midfielder for the campaign.

Saivet looks surplus to requirements and wasn’t involved in Newcastle United’s opening game against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.
