AMK Spor report Everton have made a new offer for Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida.

The Merseyside club have been strongly linked with a move for the Croatian international after he impressed at the World Cup, and yesterday it was claimed the Toffees had offered €13m.

According to AMK Spor, Everton have now offered Davy Klaassen in a direct exchange for Vida and Besiktas will make a decision. That seems surprising, because it would mean Everton valuing their player at around €13m.

Last month we covered reports from Turkey that Besiktas are showing an interest in Klaassen as they are looking to replace Anderson Talisca.

At the time it was claimed Everton wanted to exchange the Dutchman for Besiktas captain Oğuzhan Özyakup, but the Turkish international has since extended his contract with the club.

Besiktas are said to be looking at loaning Klaassen but if the Turkish club accepts Everton’s reported offer then they’ll have a chance to sign the midfielder permanently.

Vida is contracted to the Turkish giants until June 2022.
