Chelsea are reportedly one of many clubs interested in the Portuguese youngster Francisco Trincão.
In a list published by Jornal de Notícias today, the Blues are alongside AS Roma, Sevilla, RB Leipzig and Juventus in the race for the 18-year-old.
Trincão has just won the Euro U19 with Portugal, finishing the tournament with five goals and three assists in five games. He had a goal and an assist in the final against Italy.
That’s why there are several sides keeping an eye on him, and as Jornal de Notícias writes, there’s a chance he won’t even get to play for his club Braga, as some European giant could sign him this summer.
The newspaper claims that Braga would accept €15m for Trincão now, and this price should rise to €25m after September 1st.
Other local newspapers today have a similar opinion.
Outlets Record and O Jogo say that €12m could be enough to buy Tricão now, and after September, when his release clause can be activated, he’s only leaving for €30m.
Chelsea’s idea would surely be to sign the player and send him on endless loans, so €12-15m may be considered too steep.
