As Bayern Munich’s friendly victory against Manchester United was coming to an end on Sunday, Bild reporter Christian Falk tweeted the English club have made an approach for Jerome Boateng.
Jose Mourinho’s club were said to have contacted Bayern Munich on Sunday to start negotiations to sign the defender.
The claims were later detailed in a Bild article, with it being suggested Boateng may have played his ‘farewell’ match against his potential new employers.
Sunday evening saw Kicker back up the claims, saying that according to their own information, the Premier League club are keen.
It’s worth noting that Falk has shown his frustration more than once with Kicker following Bild stories and presenting them as something new.
Kicker do have some new, though, they link Arsenal.
