Wolverhampton Wanderers are keen on signing OGC Nice’s Evann Guessand to strengthen their squad this summer.
That’s according to Africa Foot, who say Wolves have launched an offensive to secure the 23-year-old’s services.
The Ligue 1 club promoted the forward to their first team in 2020 and sent him on loan to Lausanne-Sport and FC Nantes. He’s only been starting regularly for Nice from the recently concluded season, where he managed 13 goals and 10 assists while operating across the front three.
Wolves have apparently been impressed with the versatile player’s form. His profile pleases Vítor Pereira and the club’s sporting leaders, which is why they have made him their priority target for the attack.
The Premier League club are ‘making a serious move’ to sign him and it’s even claimed they’ve submitted a concrete offer to Nice.
Africa Foot make no mention of the fee offered by Wolves. They state the French club are expecting around €30m for Guessand, who has a contract until 2028, and it’s unclear if the English club’s bid meets that request.
The Ivory Coast international is open to leaving Nice this summer and the Premier League would be a new challenge for him.
