AC Milan have been considering deals to sign Tottenham Hotspur pair Emerson Royal and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, and newspaper Corriere dello Sport today shares some updates on that situation.
First speaking about the Brazilian fullback, it’s claimed that he’s already agreed to ‘reduce his wages’ to suit the Rossoneri’s budget, is very keen on the move, and a personal agreement is in place.
Milan now need to work on an agreement with Tottenham, because Spurs demand €25m for the transfer, and the Italian side are hopeful they can get him for less than €20m, with some bonuses being included. They’re hopeful that Royal’s desire will help with that.
Regarding Højbjerg, the chase seems to be less advanced. Corriere dello Sport report the Rossoneri want the player and he’s keen on being at a Champions League club next season, but it doesn’t sound like the talks are ongoing.
Still, since it’s claimed that the midfielder is ‘leaving Tottenham’, there’s also some confidence that a deal wouldn’t be hard to reach. That’s something that shall be seen in the next few weeks.
