Brøndby striker Mathias Kvistgaarden is closing in on a move to Norwich City, in what could be a record deal for the Canaries.

That’s according to Tipsbladet, who confirm reports from France that Norwich are close to sealing a deal for the 23-year-old striker.

They back up those reports, stating that Norwich have made an offer for the Danish national team striker and that negotiations are so advanced that there is confidence the transfer will take place.

It is still unknown what the possible transfer fee for the forward will be, but several reports have stated that Brøndby have put a 100 million kroner price tag on Kvistgaarden this summer. That would be around €13.4m.

If Norwich were to pay such a sum, it would be a club record for them. That currently stands at €11m, which they’ve paid for Christos Tzolis, Milot Rashica, Steven Naismith, Timm Klose and Ante Crnac. The latter was the latest in 2024.

That equates to 82.5m kroner, so there’ll be a significant increase in terms of Danish currency if they pay 100 million kroner for Kvistgaarden.

Whether they do remains to be seen but there is confidence a deal is on the way, and they’ve beaten competition from Lens for the striker’s signature.
