Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are among the clubs in the picture to sign OGC Nice star Jean-Clair Todibo.
That’s according to today’s Nice-Matin, who state the defender is ‘particularly watched’ by Spurs, the Magpies and other Premier League clubs in recent days.
The report focuses on how the Ligue 1 side have conceded more [five] goals in the last three matches than [four goals conceded] in the first 13 games. At the weekend, the 23-year-old received a red card in his side’s 3-1 defeat at the hands of Le Harve.
It’s claimed Nice don’t expect the centre-back to be suspended for more than two games but the outlet says the timing isn’t favoring them. That’s because the France international is on the transfer agenda of Tottenham and Newcastle.
The Premier League duo are both known to need reinforcements in that area of the pitch, and could be set for a battle to try and secure the former Barcelona man’s services in the winter market.
His deal lasts until 2027 and Nice-Matin makes no mention of the fee needed to take him away from the French club.
Apart from Tottenham and Newcastle, Manchester United and Liverpool are also keeping tabs on Todibo.
The defender has made 14 appearances this season and has managed an assist in the process.
