Tottenham Hotspur find themselves 14th in the Premier League and they clearly need new signings to be optimistic about next season. It seems as if they are looking to bolster their attack in the summer but one of their moves could be linked to Liverpool.

TVPlay, part of the Gazzetta dello Sport group, have reported Italian side Lazio hold interest in Reds’ star Federico Chiesa, who can depart Anfield in the summer.

A move for the Liverpool star can only go through if Lazio manage to sell a key player. As of now, Gustav Isaksen is said to be of serious interest to Tottenham and can potentially make way for the Azzurri winger.

The report states that Spurs can launch an ‘assault at over €40m’ for Isaksen, who has scored five and assisted five in all competitions this season.

He’s impressed on a more consistent basis in the past few weeks and that appeals to Tottenham.

The Lilywhites’ move for the Sweden international would help Lazio earn enough to bring Chiesa from Liverpool, where the Italian has played only 11 times in all competitions and has two goals.

The report believes that a deal is ‘not impossible’ right now, and Lazio are evaluating the scenario. There’s every chance it may be the Italian club who try to get the Isaksen talks going.
