There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Southampton defender Kyle Walker-Peters will today make a decision whether to sign for Galatasaray.

The 27-year-old has been linked with a transfer to the Super Lig champions in this transfer window as they look to bring in an experienced right back.

Galatasaray reporter Serhan Türk has spoken to Haber Sarikirmiz with regards to Cimbom’s pursuit of the Southampton player and he says the Istanbul giants have told the defender they want an answer from him today.

“Today, Kyle Walker-Peters’ time is up. The player will inform Galatasaray of his decision,” said the Turkish journalist.

Since the departure of Serge Aurier in the summer, the right back spot has become a problem for the Istanbul side.

Subsequently, Gala have been monitoring a number of right-side defenders in this transfer window, and it seems Walker-Peters could be their desired solution, given he will also be out of contract in the summer.

However, there have been claims today that they could be in the market for Newcastle United right back Kieran Trippier.

The 34-year-old has struggled to get game time this season with the Magpies and could look to move on in this window.
