Manchester United are continuing to ‘insist’ on the signing of Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi.

That’s according to Corriere della Sera, who cover the player today, explaining that he’s been busy getting married this week amid all the Manchester United rumours.

A report yesterday indicated that Carnesecchi is the chosen one at Manchester United to replace Andre Onana, who could be on his way to Monaco.

It made it clear that Manchester United are big fans of the 24-year-old and ready to make their move, should Onana head to Ligue 1 this summer.

Corriere della Sera back that up, explaining that Manchester United made contact with the Atalanta goalkeeper in the last few days regarding his situation. They wanted to ask for information, and prices, on the player.

He’s the first name on their list to replace Onana and they’re keeping their interest alive, waiting for their current number one to move on. First contacts have been made with the goalkeeper and not the Italian club, yet.

Atalanta intend to ask for a high price tag of €40-50m for their man. They know they can get big fees out of Manchester United after selling Amad Diallo and Rasmus Hojlund to Old Trafford in recent years.

In the meantime, he’s been busy getting married to influencer Valentina De Flaviis in Rimini, Italy, with her posting photos on Instagram of the nuptials.
