For the past couple of weeks, we’ve seen some clubs start getting interested in the signing of Marcos Rojo from Manchester United.
It was first Boca Juniors who reportedly had an agreement to sign the defender, and then Mexican side Cruz Azul showed up ‘having talks’ for the transfer.
Now it’s time for another Argentine side to join this race, and that’s Estudiantes de La Plata.
Local outlets such as Marca and Olé are both claiming that club president Juan Sebastian Veron will now work to have Rojo back there.
Now Olé writes that Verón will match Boca Juniors’ offer, and should count on Rojo’s love for his old club to make his choice.
It’s still isn’t clear if Estudiantes would negotiate a fee with Manchester United. When reporting Boca Juniors’ interest lately, the Argentine press claimed they expect him to rescind his contract with the Red Devils and move for free.
