Cédric Carrasso remains without a club. Seeing his Bordeaux contract expire in June, Carrasso is a free agent and has been linked with a wide range of potential destinations.
Monday’s edition of French newspaper L’Equipe reports Carrasso is hesitating about a possible move to Sporting, that’s quite possibly because he knows that unless Rui Patricio leaves, the Portugal goalkeeper will be first choice.
L’Equipe point out interest from the Championship, with Sunderland and Nottingham Forest 
the only two clubs named, but concrete moves have been ‘slow to materialise’.
Carrasso has likely enjoyed his extra time off this summer but will now want to find a new club. A move to England’s second tier certainly isn’t ruled out, but Sunderland Nottingham Forest will have to turn their interest into something more concrete.
