Sheffield United, Swansea City and West Bromwich Albion are leading the Championship race for FC Sion’s Gora Diouf, but they’re not the only clubs from England’s second tier who are keen on the 21-year-old.

That’s according to FootMercato, who report Turkish, Swiss and French clubs are keen on signing the central defender, who is described as one of the best defenders in the Swiss Super League. When it comes to the Championship clubs, it’s only Sheffield United, Swansea and West Brom who get a mention.

His contract expires at the end of June, meaning he’ll be available on a free agent basis, so it looks like a good opportunity for someone to jump for.

FootMercato say that Diouf is good technically, can bring the ball out well, is a defensive rock fast, strong in duels with other players, and an aggressive defender who plays on the left of central defence.

In short, they reckon he’s got it all, but it’s worth noting the information is likely coming from the player’s agent.
