Spanish midfielder Isco would be open to reuniting with Julen Lopetegui at Wolverhampton Wanderers following his release by Sevilla.

That’s according to Estadio Deportivo, who say the ‘temptation’ to join Wolves is ‘great’ for the midfielder.

Isco’s contract with Sevilla was terminated this week after an argument with director of football Monchi led to a falling out with those in charge at the club.

All parties decided that a separation was the best solution, and the midfielder is now free to find himself a new club.

He’s quickly been linked with a move to Wolves, who are now manager by Lopetegui, a manager who has played a key role in the player’s career, backing him at Real Madrid, Sevilla and with the Spanish national team.

Thus, a move to Molineux has been mooted and Estadio say the ‘temptation’ for the player to ‘come to Lopetegui’s call’ for a second time, after Sevilla, ‘is great’.

According to them, Wolves would have ‘no problems’ facing his real salary, which he was forced to reduce to make the move to Sevilla in the summer. However, it is made clear that Premier League football is ‘perhaps not the best’ for the player.

That remains to be seen, but after his release yesterday, Wolves certainly seem to be in the picture for his signature.
