On August 4th, Hürriyet reported Nicolò Zaniolo’s agent is in talks with Newcastle United and a few other clubs over a potential deal for the Galatasaray star.
Two days ago, the Magpies’ interest in the winger was further backed up by the Turkish press. It was also stated the Istanbul club would consider bids to sell him since they have to raise funds to balance their books.
Another Turkish newspaper Aydınlık now states Newcastle have made an offer for the 24-year-old.
That’s partly because the Turkish champions could see the former AS Roma man leave this summer. Should that happen, they don’t want to be left unprepared.
It’s claimed Juventus have been chasing the Italy international for a long time while he has offers from Newcastle and Saudi Arabia. The details of the proposal made by Eddie Howe’s side aren’t mentioned though but the report says Galatasaray want at least €30m for him.
According to the claims, Zaniolo has ‘offers from Newcastle United and Arabian clubs’.
Aydınlık are the only outlet reporting about Newcastle’s offer for Zaniolo. It remains to be seen whether it will be backed up by other outlets in Turkey and also in England.
