Four days ago, Sky Italia journalist Manuele Baiocchini reported Aston Villa’s Jhon Durán is in talks with West Ham United, while AC Milan also have him on their list.
The 20-year-old has found it difficult to get the level of prominence he wants since joining Aston Villa from MLS side Chicago Fire in January 2023. He’s been linked to a few clubs, including West Ham, AC Milan and Napoli.
Area Napoli claim the Naples club monitored the striker, who has been offered to the Rossoneri.
Milan have decided to sign Atlético Madrid’s Álvaro Morata, and are close to completing this deal.
Durán, on the other hand, should continue in the Premier League as it’s claimed he is ‘close to moving’ to West Ham. The report adds the deal ‘should be completed’ for a fee of around £37m.
The Colombia international is considered a player with ‘great potential’. The frontman was also wanted by Chelsea, but he’s now close to swapping Aston Villa for West Ham.
Durán’s signing is an ‘important blow’ for the Hammers as they have decided to bet on him for their present and the future.
Area Napoli make it clear that this is their own information and it remains to be seen whether this claim would be backed up in England.
