Nottingham Forest are in an ongoing pursuit for Borussia Dortmund’s Giovanni Reyna in the winter market, according to Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg.
He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to state that the Tricky Trees have a ‘total verbal agreement’ with the winger.
Jorge Mendes is the 21-year-old’s new agent and he also represents Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espírito Santo. The good relationship between the parties will have helped in reaching a verbal agreement.
The Premier League side want to sign the American on loan and now have to agree a deal with BVB
Plettenberg says the two clubs are in talks, but there’s no agreement yet. He adds Nuno Espírito Santo’s side are keen to include an option to buy.
Reyna has clocked in 337 minutes from 13 games this season and that includes only one league start. Jadon Sancho’s arrival at the Bundesliga side earlier this month will further reduce his chances of featuring regularly.
The journalist says the attacker, whose deal lasts until 2025, is ‘keen to leave’ the German club and Nottingham Forest are pushing to secure his services in the next few days.
