On Tuesday, Tutto Atalanta explained that Liverpool are ready to make a huge bid to sign Atalanta star Teun Koopmeiners.

There was no mention of the fee they are willing to offer and this information is provided by another report from the same outlet, who shared additional updates on this case.

According to Tutto Atalanta, Liverpool are ‘preparing to launch’ a ‘bold’ bid of £40m [€46.7m] to acquire the midfielder’s signature.

Juventus and Napoli are also showing keen interest in the 25-year-old and are joined by the Merseyside club in the transfer race. These three clubs see him as a ‘perfect signing’, based on his qualities and form, to bolster their squad.

Amid competition, Liverpool are ready to make a move for the Netherlands international. The report, however, adds a £40m bid won’t be enough to take him away from the Serie A side in the winter market.

The Dutchman is non-transferable for Percassi [likely Atalanta president Antonio Percassi] and only a ‘sensationally higher offer’ of around €60-65m is suitable for January deal. If not, his sale will be postponed until the summer.

In other words, Liverpool, who are said to be preparing to make an offer of €46.7m, have to raise their proposal by at least €13.3m, to have a hope of signing Koopmeiners this month.
