Nottingham Forest winger Jota Silva is now travelling to complete his move to Olympiacos. The proposed transfer is entering its final stages.

Portuguese journalist Sebastião Sousa-Pinto gave us a follow-up that the 26-year-old is on his way to Amsterdam. That is where Olympiacos are currently holding their pre-season training camp. He will undergo medical tests and sign his contract.

The latest update follows earlier claims that Nottingham Forest and the Greek champions had reached an agreement for the Portuguese winger’s departure. Jota Silva has already given the green light to the move.

While neither club has made an official announcement, the transfer now appears to be only a matter of time.

Jota Silva set for fresh start after Besiktas spell

The 26-year-old forward remains under contract with Nottingham Forest until June 2028. However, he was informed he would have limited opportunities for regular Premier League football. This prompted him to pursue a move to Greece after his loan spell at Besiktas in the 2025/26 season.

Following a campaign that fell slightly short of expectations in Turkey, Jota Silva now appears to have his next destination lined up. Olympiacos are set to secure his services for the upcoming season.

Although he was not always a first-choice option in Istanbul, the winger still managed to score five goals in 22 appearances. This showed flashes of his attacking quality.

A move to Olympiacos offers Jota Silva the chance to compete in a demanding league. He may also feature in European competitions. This will provide him an opportunity to attempt to relaunch his career at the highest level.

If everything goes according to plan in Amsterdam, Jota Silva’s departure from Nottingham Forest should be confirmed once the medical is completed and the necessary paperwork is signed.
