Fulham striker Carlos Vinícius has been interviewed by Portuguese outlet Radio Renascença.
With him being a former Benfica player and now being managed by Marco Silva, there was a lot of attention from the Lisbon press on his first season with the Whites.
Carlos Vinícius had a lot of good things to talk about his boss, insisting he’s a big fan.
“In addition to being a great coach, he is a great man, something I really appreciate. Then, as a coach, there’s no need to explain, just look at the seasons he’s had at Fulham,” Carlos Vinícius told Radio Renascença.
“It’s the combination of an excellent coach and an excellent man, so he has everything to go well and will continue to do so. He’s a good person and I like him a lot.”
“Great. Our objective was not to be relegated and the truth is that we are doing very well. Of course, as we win, we dream of something bigger, but of course we know that our goal was not to go down. The word that stays is ‘excellence’, now it’s finishing in Manchester with a golden key, with a victory.”
Radio Renascença pointed out that Carlos Vinícius only had 11 starts for Fulham this season, despite his five goals and three assists in 31 games. The player, however, claimed that “this year worked as an experience”, and he’s looking forward to conquering a place in the team.
“I practically just signed with Fulham, I still have two seasons left on my contract, so it’s not worth making plans. Now it’s time to prepare for the next season.”
Fulham only spent €5m to sign the Brazilian from Benfica at the start of the season, and that has been proving to be a decent investment for the squad, especially with the goals scored by him in the past few weeks.
