Fulham’s Raúl Jiménez has enjoyed a good start to this season, scoring three goals from seven matches so far.
The striker scored a goal in Fulham’s 1-1 draw against West Ham United and in their 3-1 win over Newcastle United.
Fox Sports Mexico had a chat with the Fulham player. He addressed criticism aimed towards him for not scoring enough for Marco Silva’s side.
The report claims the former Benfica man took this criticism ‘with humour’. He has also responded to his critics and explained why he feels the negativity, which largely comes from Mexico, is not warranted.
“The other day I saw a comment that said that I had four months without scoring a goal in the Premier. If we consider that my last goal in the Premier League was in the last game of last season and that I had three months of vacation, I think it’s not so bad,” he said.
The Mexico international joined Marco Silva’s side from Wolverhampton Wanderers in July 2023. The frontman finished his debut season in London with seven goals from 29 games in all competitions.
