Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Luka Sučić has ‘already attracted’ interest from Liverpool, who are keeping a close eye on his development.
That’s according to Salzburger Nachrichten, who believe the midfielder will be the next Salzburg star to move to one of Europe’s top leagues.
They explain that Sučić has been one of the top talents at the Austrian club for two years, starring in a central role, where he ‘excelled’ last season.
They insist that you don’t have to be a ‘prophet’ to predict he will earn a big move in future and he has ‘already attracted the interest’ of Liverpool in that regard.
They’re believed to be keen on a move next summer, with Jurgen Klopp watching the midfielder closely in a recent friendly. The newspaper insists ‘he was not disappointed’ by what he saw either.
According to them, Klopp wants to give Liverpool’s midfield a ‘makeover’ and Sučić would be a long-term replacement for Jordan Henderson, who turned 32 in June.
Sučić has a long-term future and is ‘already convincing’ in Salzburg’s midfield, proving to be the driving force last season scoring 16 goals in the process.
AC Milan and Juventus are also involved in the ‘battle’ for his signature and they will also be keeping a close eye on his development in the next few months.
They value Sučić’s versatility above all and could be ready to compete with Liverpool, who are big admirers, particularly after the player’s performance in their recent meeting with Salzburg.
