Over the past few days, the UK media have reported on Manchester United interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Matheus Cunha.

Three days ago, UOL reported the Red Devils recently asked for information about the 25-year-old.

The Brazilian press has joined the UK media in backing Manchester Untied’s desire to sign the Wolves star.

Goal Brasil bring the latest and their title says the forward will ‘swap Wolverhampton for Manchester United’.

Claims from the UK have said the Premier League club held positive talks with his camp. Goal backs it up and adds Ruben Amorim’s side have ‘reached an agreement’ with Cunha to move to Old Trafford.

They state Manchester United ‘will pay’ his €62.5m release clause. The British press have stated the Brazil international’s clause is set at £62.5m.

Cunha has starred for Wolves this season, managing 16 goals and four assists from 31 games. His impressive displays have also attracted interest from Arsenal and Nottingham Forest.

Arsenal and Nottingham Forest are set to miss out on the player to Manchester United, who have taken the lead.

They have ‘tied up negotiations’ related to this operation. It’s believed Cunha’s move to Manchester United should be finalised after this season and before the window reopens.
