Manchester United have set their sights on signing Atalanta’s Éderson in January.
That’s according to Goal Brasil, who say the Red Devils are evaluating internally the possibility of making an approach for him.
The midfielder has managed five goals and an assist from 23 games this season, and seems to have impressed Manchester United as their board are treating him as a ‘promising name’.
Erik ten Hag’s side have already made contact with the 24-year-old’s entourage to know the conditions needed to carry out the operation.
It’s explained that Manchester United haven’t yet opened talks, likely with Atalanta, but are ‘considering sending a proposal’ this month.
Goal Brasil claim the player could move to Old Trafford in the winter market, which is why they say there may be developments in the ‘coming days’.
The Serie A side invested €15m to sign the Brazilian from Salernitana in 2022 and will ask for much more than that to part ways with him.
La Dea are in a comfortable position when dealing with Éderson’s future since his contract lasts until 2026. Goal Brasil state the South American has a high release clause but they don’t mention the figure in the report.
Éderson’s former clubs, Corinthians, Cruzeiro and Fortaleza, are all excited about the possibility of him moving to Manchester United since they are entitled to part of the fee from his sale.
