Mohammed Kudus joined West Ham United from Ajax in August 2023 and impressed in his debut season in England. He scored 18 goals and registered seven assists from 48 games.
The attacking midfielder hasn’t managed to replicate last season’s form, with just three goals and two assists from 27 games in this campaign.
That hasn’t stopped Kudus from being linked with a move away from West Ham. Recent claims from the UK stated Graham Potter’s side are willing to sell the player who has a £85m clause.
Journalist Florian Plettenberg took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to provide the latest on the 24-year-old’s clause.
He claims the £85m release clause is only for European clubs and the figure is higher for clubs from Saudi Arabia. There’s no mention of the exact fee needed for the latter to sign Kudus.
Plettenberg adds unnamed Middle Eastern clubs have made approaches for the West Ham attacker. There isn’t anything concrete yet and the former Ajax man’s ‘main plan is not to move’ to Saudi Arabia.
The journalist mentions the Ghanian is managed by Germany agency ROOF. He may have obtained information about the clause for Saudi clubs from Kudus’ agent.
